Aptos High School Performing Arts Center and Gym Addition

Project Description

The Aptos High School Project involved several key phases and featured the construction of two distinct buildings. Initially, existing structures such as walkways, paving, and an in-ground pool were demolished to make way for new development. Underground utilities were then relocated and extended to provide essential services like electricity, communication, plumbing, and sewage. The first of the new buildings, a Performing Arts Center, includes a Theater, Concession area, Scenery Shop, Drama Classroom, and Offices. The second, a Gymnasium, is equipped with competition Basketball and Volleyball Courts, Telescoping Bleachers, a Wrestling Room, Training Room, and Locker Rooms. These buildings were interconnected by a shared lobby and surrounded by newly created hardscape and landscaping, which seamlessly integrated with the recent campus upgrades, transforming the area into a large drainage zone.
